Re: Wesley Walker and Stanley Morgan

I think both of them deserve to be in.
They both could drop passes but ultimate deep threats.
I liked Walker better because he really only had one good eye !

Re: HOVG QBs - 1940s thru 1960s

Definitely Thompson, who I believe deserves HOF consideration. Like Griese, he took his team to three consecutive championship games, utilizing his best running back, while winning too and was one of the first successful T-Formation QBs ... he didnt have an Earl Morrall winning ten straight games fo...

Re: Good riddance

I see what youre saying about 1991, though Buffalo and Denver played an excellent, defensive, AFC Championship game. Too bad the Lions couldnt step it up against the Redskins. After watching the Lions whip the Cowboys, a team that matched the Redskins very well -- I am sure the Redskin players could...

Re: Dick Vermeil HOF worthy?

Shaw coached against Parker, Ewbank, Halas and Owner Dan Reeves, with Gillman later joining the mix.
A tough division to win.

He went to the eastern division and turned the Eagles around with Brocklin pretty quickly. Despite the Giants, as well.

Re: HOF: Underrepresented Position by Era

Young was definitely a multiple threat like Timmy Brown.

For defensive tackles, hopefully Kevin Williams will be at least a semifinalist next year. Maybe Bryant Young will be back as well if Seymour is elected.

After mentioning Barber and Lynch above will Rice make the semifinals again ?

Re: HOF: Underrepresented Position by Era

It may have been presented before but another underepresented position for at least the 80s on up, is the nose/shade tackle position. Though many people were not happy with Curley Culp being elected to the HOF, I was delighted and believed it was time, though his and Robinson's elections, have proba...
