Re: Andy Piascik's Take on Seniors
Zero26, I think you may have misunderstood my point about the Centennial Committee. Some of the finalists who weren't elected are certainly worthy of reconsideration and some are definitely worthy of being elected, but I would hate to see the Senior Committee start by automatically grandfathering i...

Re: Andy Piascik's Take on Seniors
Zero26, did you read somewhere that the focus will be on pre-1960s players? Because I have not and there is no wording to that effect in the statement announcing the changes. Many of us hope some pre-1960s players will be among the finalists but there's no guarantee of that. Just think about all th...

Re: 1925 NFL Standings
No it needs to be a viable claim in a disputed situation. Thinking 93 Auburn Tigers sort of thing. Think the Pottsville v Chicago situation qualifies.
Anyhow clearly no one is on board with this sort of thing. All hail the 25 Cardinals.

Re: 1925 NFL Standings
And yeah like Bryan said it is odd they name champions decades after they exist but they list champions and would be able to recognize Pottsvilles title(https://www.profootballhof.com/nfl-champions/). In terms of being expected to go along with historical accuracy they are a museum. I feel that's f...

Re: 1925 NFL Standings
Pottsville clearly won the title but they have no voice whereas the Cardinals do. The Cardinals haven't won a championship since the Truman admin(though I guess the NFC title is the same as an NFL championship) even if Bidwill knows he's wrong he's not going to donate a championship to a defunct te...

Re: 3 seniors per year from 2023-2025, 9 total
Positive changes. Share the same concerns others have highlighted about taking all decade teams as gospel and the normal voters having veto power over seniors. But it's a solid step in the right direction. IMO there are many WR's more deserving of the HOF than Gary Clark from earlier eras. If they i...

Re: Andy Piascik's Take on Seniors
I'm happy the focus will finally be pre 1960s. That's where the vast majority of the HOF worthy players outside of the hall are IMO. The baseball HOF is awful but their current set up with committes with specific mandates seems like something positive that can be copied. As the NFL enters it's secon...

Re: Arians retiring?
Bucs are one of my three favorite teams and I follow them somewhat closely. Here is my impression of the situation after several months of speculation on the Brady-Arians relationship. When the Bucs hired Arians they had not made the playoffs for 12 years. Arians had all the leverage as they were tr...

Re: Russell Wilson To Denver
When people talk about the Seahawks not running it in super bowl 49 I feel it's forgotten how lucky the Seahawks were to even be in the Super Bowl again. I wonder if the Seahawks would have been better off if they hadn't recovered that onside kick against the Packers. Never seen a longer line of con...
