1968 AFL Season
I've noticed that Miami host 4 early season games on Saturday nights and non were televised. Why were these games played on Saturday nights? Because of the potential for oppressive heat in Miami in September/early October?

Think they needed all the help they could get on gate receipts, concessions, cooler weather, etc. Back then with a cheap owner like Joe Robbie, Thomas may have bought out by then, they had to really take advantage of promotional gimmicks(Flipper, kids etc) At that time, they only averaged about 25,000 fans per game but found a QB that would change that soon ...
