Putting a new concept out there...the Charlie Hall of Good (CHOG). Criteria to be eligible for the CHOG is as follows:
*Must have been in the NFL (including AAFC/AFL) for 10+ seasons.
*Must have started for 9 consecutive seasons.
*Must have never won a postseason game.
*Must never have received any all-conference, Pro Bowl or All-Pro honors.

Re: CHOG concept
It's tough for an actual good player to go ten years with consistent play and not get an accolade or postseason game. Larry Stallings is a good example making a Pro Bowl and played a long time.

Agreed....that's what makes it exclusive!Brian wolf wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2024 12:48 am It's tough for an actual good player to go ten years with consistent play and not get an accolade or postseason game. Larry Stallings is a good example making a Pro Bowl and played a long time.

Jethro Pugh or Jon Kolb could have been perfect examples had theyre teams not been so successful

Re: CHOG concept
The one player I thought when reading is linebacker Eric Hill. He started in all of his 11 NFL seasons with the Cardinals, Rams and Chargers from 1989 to 1999, never making a Pro Bowl, All-Pro or All-Conference, while never playing on a winning team.

Re: CHOG concept
Brian Noble?
Laughs. Actually, there probably are a few Packers that could make that list.
Dave Pureifory? Did Bill Maas make a Pro Bowl? Did Reggie McKenzie or Mike Kadish make one? Steve DeBerg might be the franchise QB of the group.
There might be a few Lions, Bills, Cardinals, Falcons, Patriots during certain eras that might be eligible for induction.

Re: CHOG concept
Joe Ferguson with Buffalo actually had a .500 starting record until the Bills disastrous 1984 season. Good enough to win games but not clutch enough in postseason.
