Upton Bell, born in 1937, had to be referring to when CS was official with Bears ... not when he was friends with Halas at Univ of Chi and shared ideas on T

But still ... would like to know what he means by "new" that was designed circa 1951+ as per the flanker position

Upton has told me this story. He was with his father Bert Bell at the Bears 1946 training camp.

In 1935 in Canadian pro football, the Winnipeg team's main passing back was a guy named Bob Fritz. He was the coach and captain and he was ambidextrous.

Did he coach with his right and captain with his left? Or vice versa?
