I'm not sure how the N.F.L. decides these things but in this year's case all the A.F.C. playoff games in the first round will take place before any of the N.F.C. playoff games will.

#3 K.C. vs. #6 MIA - 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT streaming only (on Peacock)

Sunday, January 14th

#2 BUF vs. #7 PIT - 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on CBS
#2 DAL vs. #7 G.B. - 4:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. PT on FOX
#3 DET vs. #6 the LAR - 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC

Monday, January 15th

#4 T.B. vs. #5 PHI - 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on ABC

So now we get to pay for the privilege of watching an NFL playoff game. I'm surprised it took this long, honestly.

I know. It's bullshit. And like you, I am surprised this hasn't happened sooner. In a few years they'll be selling games by the quarter and placing Burger King ads on jerseys.

And why a Monday Night playoff game? Why not a simple three games on Sat, three games on Sun?

Makes too much sense but not enough dollars.

Wondering if there's a chance that the winner of TB/Phi would then have to play the following Saturday in the Divisional Round.

Also wondering when the London Playoff games will start.

Wasnt there a streaming-only playoff game this previous postseason?

No they definitely wouldn't do that. The winner of that game will get a Sunday game the following week.

What gets me is they advertise watching the game on Peacock as the opportunity to be a part of "history". Like that is something I will be bragging about for years to come.
