1968 NFL/AFL radio summary

Post by Citizen »

Interesting artifact from the Aug. 12, 1968 edition of Broadcasting magazine. It includes a team-by-team rundown of flagship stations, announcers, and sponsors, as well as information about what networks paid to broadcast pro and college football. The article starts on page 23.

This is fantastic - thank you for posting this difficult to find information.

The $55 million total for both college and pro rights equates to about $400 million in today's economy (according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics). Each individual NFL team makes about that amount in media deals now: https://www.sportico.com/feature/how-sp ... 234766931/
