Re: Mike Florio's "Upper Room"
I think the 75th Anniversary Team was pretty well done. This team looks like it was generated by AI.

Re: Should Ricky Watters be the next RB in Canton?
I'd say no on Watters and I think there's a better methodology here than who showed up on the most ballots. What if you weighted it so a 1st place vote was worth 5 points, a 2nd 3 points, and a 3rd 1 point? Or you could do something fancier like a Borda count. Also, I couldn't get the numbers to add...

Re: Packers Senior Candidates
+1 for both. It's too bad the centennial class got out of kilter (imo) with players from the 1980s etc. I'd be a fan of every 5 years or so focussing on something - so there could be a year where they focussed on the '20s.JohnTurney wrote:my preference is that both get in.

Re: Packers Senior Candidates
Thanks Cliff. Really appreciate your posting this. It was a great read - really persuasive. I'd be happy to see Lewellen in the HOF, but I have Dilweg higher in my personal rankings partly because when I look at things by position, I think of him and Chamberlin, so he's essentially one of the first ...

Re: Played in the AAFC and AFL
George Blanda comes to mind. Good one Jay. I should have thought of him. Frank Tripucka did that -- NFL from 1949-52 and AFL from 1960-63 or so, with a long stretch in Canada in between. Yes! Thanks Bob. This was the one I was looking for. I knew there was a player who had a 1950 Bowman football ca...

Re: Seniors
John, thanks for the insight on Wistert/Belichick and the Centennial class.
Personally, I don't have Emerson and Lewellen even with the others, although I like them for the HOF. I still go by this:
Wistert would be great, but learned not to get hopes up.

Re: 1980 Vikings vs. 1981 Buccaneers
Both teams couldn't run Not trying to derail this - hopefully someone answers the main question, but the part I quoted stood out to me because I recalled James Wilder being a productive back. Stats in PFR didn't support my recollection as they show he was a FB his first 3 seasons then in his 4th se...
