Re: Can the Packers actually win on Sunday?
Agreed, it was a terribly sloppy game with an amazing finish -- not unlike the 1958 title game and the Immaculate Reception game. Without taking anything away from Seattle -- which really did show a champion's mettle by getting off the mat the way they did -- I can't think of an instance when a team...

Re: NFLgames postponed or moved due to weather
Also, the Vikings' 10/5/69 home game against Green Bay was moved to Memorial Stadium at the University of Minnesota due to the Twins using the Met for their ALCS game against the Orioles.

Re: Alternate footage of the Immaculate Reception
My first memories of NFL Films team highlights being shown on TV were on ESPN in the early 1980s, but I wasn't aware that "regular" TV stations would run them too. Yes, that was the custom probably until 1981 or '82. A given team's highlights generally would be shown only on its market's ...

Re: 1960/1963 Colts vs. Niners
Interesting. That 1960 Colts-49ers footage looks like it's from a kinescope. Do any hardcore collectors know if the rest of that game is out there? If so, I believe that would make it the earliest NFL telecast that survives.

Six TD passes in first half
Aaron Rodgers last night became the second quarterback in league history to accomplish this. Daryle Lamonica was the first, against Buffalo on 10/19/69.

Re: Have we hit rock bottom with NFL uniforms?
I don't think we will have hit rock bottom until Nike finds a way to screw up the Packer uniforms. And, believe me, Nike can do it if given the chance. They were almost spared the trouble. Early in his tenure, Ron Wolf toyed with the idea of changing the yellow in Green Bay's uniforms to gold. Fort...

Re: home dominance
The Packers have won 23 in a row at home (including one playoff game) against the Lions.
Until last year when they broke the string, the Lions had lost 21 in a row at Washington.

Re: Henry Jordan - 1967 Western Playoff vs LA Rams
Accounts of the era say four, while more recent sources such as ProFootballReference say he had 3.5, splitting one with Ron Kostelnik. I think the defense as a unit had five.
