Re: Greene versus Haley for HOF
I think they would pick Haley first based in his Super Bowl rings, but I believe Greene was the better player. I would not be bothered if any one of them makes it, however, both deserve it.

Re: Davis versus Bettis for HOF
I would vote for Davis, but I think that Bettis would enter the Hall first based in "fame" and longer career.

Re: Pace versus Shields for HOF
Both are deserving, but I believe that Shields is very underrated, is like the Tom Mack of recent years (many Pro Bowls, few All-Pros), but hopefully he can enter soon, he deserves it (I was surprised that he was only a 3rd round draft choice given the fact that he won the Outland Trophy as a senior...

Re: Whci of the three coaches, Coryell, Johnson or Dungy?
It's interesting that Coryell and Johnson both are in the College HOF. I don't think that any of them are deserving, tough. Sure, I recognize Coryell innovations and all of that, but it bothers me that from 1979-1982, with all the talent he had, he couldn't get to the Super Bowl. I've always wondere...

Re: Harrison versus Tim Brown for HOF
I would chose Harrison, but I think that Bown deserved it more than Andre Reed. You have to look at all the QBs the Raiders had during Brown's career, and besides Rich Gannon (late in Brown's career) no one of the others (Jeff Hostetler, Jay Schroeder, Vince Evans, Jeff George, Billy Joe Hobert, Tod...

Re: Kurt Warner first ballot or not?
If he had won the Super Bowl with the Cardinals there would be no question that he should enter this year, but I think he deserves in the long time based that he came fom nowhere and took two teams that had a string of losing/no playoffs seasons to the Super Bowl. His career is unique than of other ...

Re: Roman Gabriel's 1973 Season
It's interesting than in 1978 Vermeil acquired 34-year old cornerback Bob Howard from New England (they also had 33-year old Johnny Outlaw at corner) and 35-year old guard Woody Peoples from San Francisco. Then the next season they picked future Hall of Famer 35-year defensive end Claude Humphrey. I...

Re: Darryl Stingley question
I have a question: did the Patriots brought Harold Jackson from the Rams after Stingley's injury or before? The thoughts of those two with Stanley Morgan in the same team would've been something.

Re: Roman Gabriel's 1973 Season
When I saw the movie "Invincible" about Vince Papale in Vermeil's first year in Philadelphia, I immediatily went to check what veteran players (more than 30 years old) the Eagles had that season (I started following the NFL the next season at 7 years old). I was surprised to check that th...
