Re: Rams go throwback ...
I like the new helmets. Maybe this is step one in bringing back the royal blue and gold? The Rams had the throwbacks as their alternate jersey. It could become full-time in a few years.

Re: Tiki Barber: Canton or Nay?
I say no. He was a very good RB with decent receiving skills, but his career is too short. For me, that also goes for other decent peak but too-short-career RBs like Jamal Lewis, Priest Holmes, Shaun Alexander, Ricky Williams, Clinton Portis, Marshawn Lynch, and Chris Johnson. It also goes for comp...

Re: Favorite One-Hit Wonder Team/Player?
Favorite One-Hit Wonder player is Steelers QB Tommy Maddox. Had a breakout 2002 season and won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award. Led the Steelers to 10-5-1 record and an appearance in the AFC Divisional Round, after orchestrating a comeback from down 24-7 against the Browns the week prior. ...

Re: 2017 NFL opponents
If the Patriots win the Super Bowl, the Thursday Night kickoff game might very well be a replay of the Super Bowl , or Patriots-Chiefs. If Atlanta wins, it could be Falcons-Packers or Falcons-Cowboys. Yep. The league chose this match up for the 2016 Kickoff Game, Carolina at Denver. I have reason t...

Re: Postgame thoughts on Super Bowl LI
Exciting, thrilling comeback by New England to win. You have to give them that whether you like the franchise or not. Brady is the best QB of the 21st Century, that is a definite. GOAT? IMO, no, it's still Joe Montana. Montana played in an era where the quarterback was not nearly as protected as the...

Re: Did this transaction make history?
Cleveland needs help. They really need help at numerous positions. Maybe Osweiler fits here, I don't know. Yes it's a tough scene for him with the state of the team and playing in the AFC North, but it seems like BO is a superior choice than drafting a rookie.

Re: 2000 Titans- do they win SB if they get by Baltimore?
I can agree the Titans would've won the SB. I don't see any other contenders in the NFC.... Minnesota was railed by the Giants in the NFCCG. The Saints and Rams may have been a test, but I doubt they would've beaten Tennessee.

They ought to use some space for Ronde Barber. He had a stellar run with Tampa Bay also.

Re: Tomlinson VS Peterson
This sums up my thinking, too. LT was a superior overall back. Peterson is a stronger runner.JWL wrote:As just a pure runner, Peterson is probably better. As an overall running back (running, pass catching, blocking), I go with Tomlinson.
