Re: Matt Forte
I share the viewpoint that Matt Forte is not a HoFer. Nowhere close. As it was said, total rushing yards do not constitute automatic HoF status. Historically it seems if a RB gets beyond 12,000 career rushing yards, that has been sufficient . But as has been said above, Forte has a good ways to go ...

I share the viewpoint that Matt Forte is not a HoFer. Nowhere close. As it was said, total rushing yards do not constitute automatic HoF status. Forte has only made the Pro Bowl twice and only has 52 career rushing touchdowns. That ranks below 50th all-time. He's got a long way to go before he's got...

Re: Steve Atwater: Canton or Nay?
IMO this is a very interesting argument. Atwater's career stats are Top 10 for safeties of all-time. His awards speak volumes, too. If you look at rankings of greatest safeties of all-time, Atwater is Top 10 on at least a few of those lists: http://www.nbcsports.com/greatest-safeties-nfl-history htt...

Re: Suggestion for "Hall of Very Good"
Great points.
How about a category for senior members, too? The HOF does this.

Re: All-Had To Retire Early team
Barry Sanders, amidst the controversy of his contract having to repay the Lions part of his bonus. The team refused to release him, so Sanders just retired. Strange!

Re: 2015: Texans VS Redskins
Washington.
Houston had a myriad of injuries, particularly at QB and to JJ Watt. Washington had a brilliant year. Nobody thought they would make the playoffs, led by their unsung hero at QB, Kirk Cousins.

Re: Rival Teams That Used To Be In The Same Conference
Not necessarily "rivalries", but I do enjoy watching the Steelers play the Packers, 49ers, and Redskins. To see several of the older/oldest NFL franchises go at it is always fun for me, and very entertaining.

Re: Heath Miller (and Aaron Smith)
Heath in HOVG? I see it. Feasible. HoF? Let's remember the HoF is for the players who are the best of all-time. Do I think Miller is among the best of all-time at TE? No. Though he did have an excellent career with the Steelers. Spent his entire career with one team, an uncommonality!

Re: A professor analyzes Belichick
Belichick is also a criminally underrated game day coach. I'd put accountability and game day coaching above the strategic and tactical chops that he's most known for. I agree. People who say things about how Brady carries him and that he didn't win anything before he got Brady don't know what they...

This sounds like a simple fumble.
