Re: Marc Trestman Trainwreck...also Cutler..Historic Perspec
Can't help thinking Trestman deserves another chance without Cutler. Last year they were one of the highest scoring offenses with a journeyman quarterback. McCown said last year he was never more prepared for a game since Trestman was his coach. The comparison was made by others already, but Cutler...

Marc Trestman Trainwreck...also Cutler..Historic Perspective
Assuming Trestman is fired(that's a pretty safe bet at this point based on all reports) has there ever been as short and disastrous coaching hire? Even a guy like Dave Shula got 5 years. Trestman took over a 10-6 team and in two seasons has them finishing either 5-11 or 6-10 and will be out of a job...

Re: Big Ben-era Steelers HOF
Faneca, Troy P, and Big Ben all get in. So does Bettis.
Since he was mentioned earlier I'd put Rivers in as well.

Re: Alternate footage of the Immaculate Reception
I recently read Peter Richmond's book "Badasses" and in the chapter on "The Immaculate Deception" he mentions that there was another view of the play from the end zone behind Bradshaw which NBC ran behind the credits at the end of the game. San Francisco Examiner writer Frank Co...

Re: 1995 NFC WR Stats..WTH went on?!
Don't forget 1995 was an expansion year - two more teams to dilute the defensive talent pool. While true, the AFC didn't see a similar bump. The NFC that year was just crazy. Maybe just one of those crazy things that happens from time to time with no real good reason but wasn't sure if anyone had a...

1995 NFC WR Stats..WTH went on?!
Was looking into Isaac Bruce's career and looked at his 1995(119 catches 1781 yards 13 TD's) which didn't even result in a Pro Bowl berth and started looking around PFR at why. The NFC WR numbers in 1995 were insane. Jerry Rice: 122 catches 1848 yards 15 TD's (All Pro/Pro Bowl) Herman Moore: 123 cat...

Re: How were Quarterbacks rated before QB Rating?
I'd like to know the answer to this as well.Bryan wrote:What "system" does the NFL/PFRA people use to recognize historic passing leaders? The rating system that was in use as that time, or applying the current rating system to past seasons?
