Great article about how NIL is affecting the NFL draft.

Yep and this trend will only continue. With NIL a portion of these college players can make more continuing to play in college than they could as a mid to late round nfl draft pick. First, second, and third round picks will still always come out but for the late round picks it really does make more sense to stay in college these days for another year, make their money, and hopefully improve their game so they can be a higher draft pick the following year.

Obviously, you always run the risk of career-ending injury or a sub-par extra year that actually HURTS your draft stock, but at least you're not then stuck with no pro career and no money. (Not everyone who comes back for their senior year finds it to be a great career move. Matt Leinart comes to mind, but it may have been just that Matt Leinart couldn't play at the next level.)
