Another puzzler for today

Post by Todd Pence »

I'm thinking of a team which lost to just one other team all season long (including the postseason) and yet failed to make the Super Bowl. Which squad and year am I thinking of?

Well, that was quick. :| I'll see if I can come up with something tougher.

Had 'us' going with the last one.

This was probably too recent plus personally the Jaguars were my second team (behind the Seahawks, of course) at that time, due to Brunell (UW) being the QB.

I remember when that year's playoffs started being absolutely convinced they were going to the Super Bowl that year and going to get into a shootout with the Rams in the big game. Especially after that thrashing of Miami. 61-7 I think? Marino's last game too if I remember right. Imagine all the offensive fireworks that could have been in a Jags/Rams SB that year.

1967 Colts technically fit the description as well.
