Trouble with the forum ...

Post by JeffreyMiller »

I still am unable to access the forum from my home PC. The only time I can get on is when I'm at work. I tried using the password sent to me, but when I entered it, it tells me I'm already registered.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

I have no issues at all using my smartphone. Rarely have issues using my home pc. But I have major issues getting in (and staying logged in) at work. The inconsistency is puzzling. You'd think the problems would be consistent regardless of the location.

Indeed, but the same inconsistency exists with Coffin Corner.
A guy in Spain gets all issues; a guy in Washington does not.
Issue 3 of 2014 has no link; Issues 5 and 6 are not posted at the web site.
Hard copy of Issues 5 and 6 arrive in Florida simultaneously in mid-February 2015.
Issue 1 of 2015 has yet to arrive. Oh well, it's only March...

I wish that could be fixed. I'm not sure if it's possible or if it's just how the forum host is set up but it's frustrating always being auto-logged out.

I'd only add that in a past "complain about the new forum" thread, it was said that the search function could be "easily" fixed. As threads start to pile up here at the new forum - and with the old threads that were brought over - it would be nice if the search function could be fixed.

I have had problems in the past week with my iPhone and iPad. I usually enter the forum from my PC, but this week I had to travekl for work, and with the Apple devices I had to re-enter the password and many times it doesn't recognize it.

This day, Thursday, March 5, 2015, I asked a friend to visit my post office and check my box for the January / February issue of Coffin Corner.
Lo and Behold! It has finally arrived.
Historically, publications have your copy in your hands PRIOR to the Issue Date(s) but we seem to do things a bit backward?
The contention is less the belated mailing of the item but more the absolute lack of professionalism shown by the guilty party(-ies) refusal to address their deficiencies and, in this regard, I am not the sole individual aggrieved.
A number of people with whom I communicate have expressed annoyance with the same rudeness displayed by our so-called "brothers."
Additionally, the web site remains an enigma for many.
Again, there are people who have been totally ignored and others who were promised aid and then ignored.
Little-by-little, people are learning that the PFRA no longer owns this site and the new operator can pretty much do as he pleases.
This is a matter that should be addressed in the Members Only section and a copy of the web contract displayed.
Hopefully, we will begin to see some indication that our people can man-up and show concern for the Membership.

I can only get on the site, be it this forum or the regular website once a day. After that no dice. It doesn't matter if I'm on my work computer or my wife's tablet at home, so thing. It's just not worth it anymore that's why I'm hardly here. I give up, man.
